RainnBow

Do you like rainbows? Well, if you like the tv show The Office, you're bound to like this one!

This is my last semester here at Dixie State College before my wife and I will have our Associates Degrees and we're moving back up to the Provo area. I only needed one more class(I chose Weather) to finish my degree, and decided to take a fun screenprinting class to learn how to do it. I figured hey, why not learn how to screenprint considering I now own a t-shirt business call Mission Tees(which you can check out at www.missiontees.blogspot.com).  Although I have already made quite a few of my own mission oriented shirts in the class, I wanted to do something a little different.

So during class I texted my wife Sarah of what I should do...she said I should to a rainbow. Immediately after I read her text the idea hit me and went for it. Hope you enjoy! Do you get it? Let me know what you think:)

After making this design, I posted it on Rainn Wilson's Facebook wall and Rainn "Like"d it! Here's the proof:

After making this design, my brother Devin Wilcox gave me the suggestion to make a Double Rainnbow too, so I hope you like it!

My wife Sarah and I decided it would be fun to do a little watercolor painting
for our FHE and this is one of the paintings I did. Thought it would be fun to do a bird.

If anyone would like to buy the original, I'm selling it for just $60 for whoever is interested!

Porter and Tom Chaplin

During the first part of 2011 I did these paintings in my portraiture painting class that Del Parson teaches at Dixie State College in Saint George, Utah.  My best friend growing up-Porter Fisher-was an excellent musician and really started taking off with it while I was serving a full-time LDS mission in the Oklahoma Tulsa Mission.  Three months before I returned home, on March 5, 2010, he passed away on a hiking accident.  This totally devastated me, we were looking forward to a lot of fun things when I got back.  I will always greatly miss his fun spunky personality.  So in honor of the happiness that he brought to people using his talents such as playing the guitar, I saw a really great picture of him and did this painting from it.  I also did a 3-in-1 painting of Tom Chaplin, who is the lead singer in the band KEANE, which he was obsessed with.  Hope you like!

I've been told that both of these paintings are now in Porter's bedroom, exactly what I was hoping for!  For me, I simply want to remember the fun, good things he did, and all the great memories I had with him, which are MANY!  I'm sure he's dazzling tons of people with his talents in the next life, and I sure do look forward to seeing him again!  Rock on my friend, love you bro!
